CAMPSITE GUIDE

 

Arrival time for tent pitches    8am until 8pm, depart by 4pm

~

We allow camping in tents, trailer tents and small van conversions.

~

WE DO NOT FACILILITATE CARAVANS OR MOTOR HOMES 

~

We allow campfires and barbecues on site

~

Dogs are allowed on site, we ask owners to clean up after their dogs and keep them under control at all times.

Dogs must be on a lead around livestock.

~

 FISHING IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE RIVER

~

We do not allow amplified music on site at any time, please respect others and be quiet between the hours of 11pm and 7am

~

We reserve the right to deny access or ask to leave anyone at any time whose behaviour is unsuitable, with no compensation or refund payable.

~

Our shower and toilets are cleaned on a regular basis, please understand if some of the facilities are out of use for a short time

~

Please dispose of your rubbish in the bins provided on site.

~

Please adhere to the guides of use posted in the showers and compost loos

BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR FROME MEADOW CAMPSITE

 

You are requesting and accepting a booking on the assumption that you have read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions and the Guide to Use of Our Campsite. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. 

BOOKING

Your booking is secured by paying a deposit. The balance is payable by BACs transfer.

The following may be changed subject to availability – booked dates, numbers of adults and children, booking name, contact details and email address.

GROUP BOOKINGS 

 Please contact owners for details if you wish to make a group booking, or are part of a single sex group or a party of young adults. Bookings are taken only at the discretion of the owners.

 Unaccompanied groups of teenagers under the age of 18 are not accepted.

 

CANCELLATIONS

  Refunds are at the discretion of the owners. The website booking fees are non-refundable. No refund is payable if cancellation is within 24 hours of the start of the stay.

If you need to cancel or amend your booking, please give as much notice as possible so that someone else has the chance to book.

 

FACILITIES

Information about features, facilities and services at Frome Meadow Campsite is accurate at the time of listing on our website,

 but it is possible that some of these features, facilities and services may not be available or be replaced/updated at the time you take your holiday.

 

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Fire Regulations

Please observe the 6 metre rule when pitching your tent, there is plenty of space in our field.

In the event of fire please alert any other campers on site, and ring the owners on

 For your own safety at night you should bring a torch.

 

RIVER SWIMMING CAN BE DANGEROUS

Please ensure children under 16 are supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

You swim and use theses premises entirely at your own risk. You are responsible for your own safety and for the safety of others.

The owners of Frome Meadow Campsite accept no liability for any loss or injury, howsoever caused.

 The siting of the campsite does not indicate that it is a safe place to swim.

There are inherent risks in wild swimming. Please seek to minimise them.

 There are no Lifeguards. Come in a group, keep an eye on each other and be prepared and able to life save one another.

In places the river is deep and fast flowing.

It is safest to first enter the water from the bank to check the depth and for under water obstructions.

 Diving is dangerous, so please no diving.

 Jumping and diving is not allowed from trees, from the bridge or the weir.

Never swim alone or after taking alcohol or drugs.

Do not swallow the water.

There are health risks in swallowing the water.

 Don’t enter the water if you have an open wound especially one to the head (Risk of Weil’s disease).

The river water is cold, acclimatize yourself to the water temperature before swimming.

 You should be in good health; do not swim if you are feeling unwell or if you have a health condition which could endanger yourself whilst in the water.

Beware of entangling yourself in river weeds.

Swimming is only permitted between the marked areas between the ropes and signs.

 

ON THE CAMPSITE

 The access track, campsite, riverside and paths are all part of a working farm, and as such there are hazards.

 We do our utmost to ensure the safety of our visitors, but cannot guarantee the site is completely free of hazards.

Please take care at all times.

 

Cars are allowed on site, we suggest a maximum of one car per pitch. Please drive with care.

 

 The exit from the campsite is from a farm track onto a road junction. Take care as you exit, as the main road has fast traffic from both directions.

 

Tents should be pitched a reasonable distance from other tents to avoid disturbance and tripping hazards.

 

PRIVACY

We will use the information you provide to us in order to:

- process your booking

- verify financial transactions

- investigate and resolve any problems with any products or services supplied to you 

We will not divulge this information to any third parties, except as we are required to by law.

 

GENERAL

By making a Booking Request you agree that you and all people in your party accept and agree to these terms and conditions and that you will indemnify Frome Meadow Campsite fully and effectively against all loss and damage arising directly or indirectly, from any act or default by yourself or any person or animal accompanying you. Unless required by law, we will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of business or loss of goodwill and our maximum liability shall be no more than to refund the amount paid by you for the holiday. We shall have no liability to you for any failure to perform any of our obligations under the contract if and to the extent that the failure is caused by matters outside of our control, including by act of God, governmental restriction, condition or control or by reason of any act done or not done pursuant to trade dispute, shortages of labour or materials or breakdown of machinery or any other matter.

No person (except you and us) shall have any rights pursuant to the Contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any of these terms and conditions.
