Frequently Asked Questions

How do I check in?

As we are only on site for 2-3 hours/day please arrive on site and choose anywhere in the allotted 3 fields to set up your camp. You can then come and find us in the evening when we'll be selling logs and cleaning facilities. There is a map at the entrance/shop area to give you an idea of the site.

Can I bring my campervan/conversion?

In a lot of cases the answer is yes however no electric, hard standing or chemical toilet facilities are provided. If you need any of these please try the Moreton Camping and Caravanning Club 1 mile away at Moreton Station.  Furthermore, due to the topography of the site, the fields can become wet so larger vehicles are not permitted. Getting stuck is a risk that could lead to major soil damage if a tractor is needed to get you moving. Please contact us with a picture of the trailer/ van so we can advise on specific vehicles.

Can I host a stag/hen do or social gathering?

On the main campsite no, but do get in contact as we may be able to find a secluded corner of the farm where you can't disturb our peaceful campers.

How can I amend my booking?

Bookings can be amended via the hipcamp website.

What can I do on the river?

This stretch of river is only suitable for swimming and paddling.

We do not have fishing rights on the river Frome.

If you are a keen kayaker or paddle boarder then we suggest making the most of the Dorset coastline and we can suggest different beaches for different disciplines.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes if they are well behaved, quiet and you promise to clean up after them. Maximum 1 dog per tent
